It is that time of year again when I share the HAWS mission and ask for support. The HAWS mission statement states that we will lead the community in animal welfare and assure sanctuary for animals in need. The picture above embodies both parts of our mission. Gertie & Tinsley are both rescue dogs. For one reason or another they landed in HAWS' care. They both received specialized care from the medical team and eventually were adopted by me. Now they spend their time educating our future. They go to local schools and help children read. They spend time with our Kids n Critters Camp teaching children about pet care and empathy. Finally, they show to the community that shelter pets are amazing and can-do tremendous things. Please consider donating today to help HAWS continue to continue this lifesaving mission.
