HAWS is having a March Madness: Name Tournament! To enter, simply donate $5 (or more!) and submit your best name for a pet! The first 64 submissions will be used in the bracket. We will be accepting name submissions from now through Wednesday, March 8.

The winner of the HAWS March Madness: Name Tournament will get to name the next shelter pet who needs a name at HAWS! You can choose what type of pet you would like to name: cat, dog, rabbit, turtle, guinea pig, bird, etc. The winner will also receive a choice of one of the three following prizes: a HAWS merchandise basket, a free trip to the dog park, or three free kitty nail trims!

HAWS will post the March Madness: Name Tournament bracket on our website and social media for printing and filling out on Friday, March 10. If you would not like to print, please feel free to stop in the shelter to pick up your own copy. Brackets must be turned in by Monday, March 13, as March Madness begins the following day on Tuesday, March 14! You can turn in your completed bracket at the front desk at our shelter, or you can turn it in by sending a photo of it to [email protected]. The overall bracket winner will also get a choice of the three prizes from above. Only one submission per person.

Voting will be held on HAWS Facebook and Instagram stories, so don’t forget to vote for your favorite name throughout the next few weeks! The name with the most votes at the end of the day moves on to the next round.
