ADULT HORSE PROGRAM
Ages 18+
Have you been dreaming of getting hands-on with horses but don’t know where to start? If you're 18+ and curious to learn more, this program is for you!
Whether you're starting from scratch or brushing up on your knowledge, we'll guide you through the wonderful world of horses. From learning how to properly groom, lead, and feed, to understanding common emergencies and riding styles, this program provides a well-rounded introduction. You'll get hands-on experience with the HAWS herd, meet other like-minded equine enthusiasts, and leave with the confidence to care for and interact with horses in a meaningful way.
Program Highlights:

Horse Care Basics: Learn the essential skills for grooming, feeding, and maintaining horses.

Equine Etiquette: Gain a solid understanding of how to lead, interact, and communicate with horses safely.

Hands-on Experience: Work directly with horses to apply what you learn in real-time, both on the ground and try your seat in the saddle.

Social Connections: Meet fellow adult horse enthusiasts and share your passion for all things equine!

Please Note:
· This program is for adults 18 years and older;
· Long pants and close-toed shoes must be worn;
· Handling horses can be physical therefore participants should be comfortable with their mobility and be prepared for exercise.
· To prevent direct threats to the health and safety of the individuals who ride and care for our horses, and for the safety of our horses, for those participating in the riding portion of our program, the weight limit for participants is 220 pounds based on standards accepted by the Certified Horsemanship Association (no more than 20% of the horses body weight).
