We're Expecting!
Donate to save the kittens that arrive at HAWS this spring.
Over the past 60 years, HAWS has made tremendous strides for our feline friends. For decades, Kitten Season meant all-hands-on-deck fostering, while hundreds and hundreds of litters found their way to our shelter from March through October. But, thanks to the opening of our SNIP clinic in 2001, and our free cat spay-neuter program called Project Guardian, HAWS has made a big impact on cat-overpopulation in Waukesha County!
While we still see an increase in kittens arriving at our shelter during the warmer months (recently as many as 800 during the season), they don’t stay for long: happy fosters nurture them until they are ready for adoption, and adopters swoop in to quickly take one (or more) home.
We’re Expecting – join our efforts with a monetary or supply donation and help Save the Kittens!
