Art Camp
Rising 2-5 Grade
This is the perfect camp for an art-loving, animal-loving kid! Art camp focuses on combining art and animals. In this week-long session, campers will spend their morning hours socializing with animals, completing volunteer work and participating in numerous animal-related activities. Each afternoon will be spent with Kristin Gjerdset, Associate Professor of Art at Wisconsin Lutheran College, who will be leading the campers in various animal-related art lessons. The campers will have a wonderful art portfolio of the pieces they created throughout the week. Suggested for campers who prefer drawing, painting, and similar activities.
Camp Highlights
-

-

Morning & Afternoon Care
Drop-off time for those without morning extended care is 8:45am or later. Extended care is available for an extra fee from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. You must register in advance for extended care.
If your child isn’t signed up for morning extended care, please plan to drop them off at 8:45 a.m. or later. A late fee of $1.00 per minute applies for late pickups (after 4:00pm without extended care or after 5:00pm with extended care.) If you think timing might be tight, we recommend signing up for extended care to make things easier for everyone!
For safety reasons, please do not drop children off early unless they’re registered for morning extended care. While staff are on-site, they won’t expect your child unless they’re signed up, and we want to be sure every camper is safely checked in.
Children Information
It is important to inform HAWS of any special needs; physical, medical, mental or emotional, that your child may have so that we can provide a successful HAWS experience. Failure to inform HAWS of any of these needs that are necessary to know when instructing your child may result in your child being unable to participate and a loss of program fees.
Payment and Registration
There will be a 30% administrative fee for all cancellations. There will be no refunds or transfers given within two weeks of the start of the program session.
