Location

HAWS Schallock Center for Animals | W330 S1205 County Rd C, Delafield

Date & Time

See Dates Below | 2-3pm

Ages: 3, 4 and 5 year olds with an adult

By interacting with animals at a young age the children develop an appreciation, understanding and respect for animals that can then be built upon as they grow.  Young children get the opportunity to recognize how animals are a lot like them by comparing their bodies and daily needs to those of other living things.

Each program is 45-60 minutes, standards-based, interactive and engaging for you and your child.  Explore new topics with us each month as we wonder and wander together.

  • March-Seeing Is Believing: All creatures see the world in different and unique ways. Come see the world like a bug and a fish. See things up close from far away. Let’s take a walk and see what we can see. Hope to see you there!
  • April- Follow Your Nose: Do you smell something? Come learn why scent is so important to us and to animals; like the dogs, cats and rabbits we care for. Play a scent matching game and who “nose” what other fun we will have!
  • May- Who Lives Here: Come help us solve a mystery! Look for clues to discover which animals may be hiding along our trails. Learn which habitats our wild and resident animals have chosen to make their home.
