Crafts N Critters (Ages 7-9):

Do you have a child who loves animals, crafts, and being outside? Then this camp is perfect for them! Throughout this camp, we will have a guest instructor coming for a few hours each day to guide the kids through animal-themed crafts. The crafts the kids create will teach them about taking care of shelter animals and the importance of this work. The other portion of the day will be used to socialize with animals, play games, and learn about animals through fun activities! You can expect your child to see 3-4 animals every day. Suggested for campers who enjoy creating crafts of all types from bracelets to enriching animal enclosures.

Camp Highlights

Animal-Themed Craft Sessions: Every day, a guest instructor will guide campers through fun, animal-inspired craft projects! Kids will create unique items such as pet toys, animal shelters, and decorative pieces that support animal care.

Animal-Themed Games and Challenges: Campers will engage in fun competitions like an "animal ability relay" or "pet jeopardy" to test their animal knowledge!

Interactive Learning Activities: Enjoy creative games and activities that teach responsible pet ownership, animal safety, and the importance of adoption.

Build Confidence & Creativity: This camp provides a supportive and creative environment where campers can build confidence in their artistic abilities while developing a deeper connection with animals and learning about their care.

Showcase of Artwork: At the end of the camp, campers will have the chance to showcase their animal-inspired artwork in a special exhibition for family and friends to enjoy.

Morning & Afternoon Care

Drop-off time for those without morning extended care is 8:45am or later. Extended care is available for an extra fee from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. You must register in advance for extended care.

A late fee of $1.00 per minute applies for late pickups (after 4:00pm without extended care or after 5:00pm with extended care.) Please help us to help you and sign up for extended care if you have any doubts about your ability to be on time. Also, please do not drop children off early unless they have been registered for morning extended care. We do not want them waiting alone outside.

Children Information

It is important to inform HAWS of any special needs; physical, medical, mental or emotional, that your child may have so that we can provide a successful HAWS experience. Failure to inform HAWS of any of these needs that are necessary to know when instructing your child may result in your child being unable to participate and a loss of program fees.We need to know ahead of time of a child’s particular needs so that their camp experience is both a fulfilling and memorable one.
